Give a Big Warm Welcome to Squirrel! Squirrel came to us as an owner surrender through no fault of her own—her owner is experiencing health issues and could no longer care for her. We have been told that Squirrels is a 2-year-old female Lab Mix. Squirrel has a gentle nature and a real love for the outdoors. Her previous owner told us she is good with kids and has primarily been an outside dog. Here at the shelter, Squirrel really enjoys being outside where she can relax and soak up the sun. She’s currently working on leash training and is making good progress every day. Squirrel also doesn’t seem to mind the other dogs here at the shelter. With her sweet demeanor, Squirrel would thrive with someone who can offer her patience, consistency, and lots of love. She’s ready to start her next chapter. Squirrel did great for her nail trim and exam where she weighs in at 52.6 lbs. where she was given Bordatella, parvo/lepto/distemper vaccines, dewormed, microchipped and is heartworm negative.
